The State of the Township 2007
1. Finalized the Joint Economic Development District and have realized quarterly revenues.

2. Negotiated and signed a 3 year contract with the Road Crew Teamster Union.

3. Replaced the 20 year old loader, replaced the 1990 and 1976 pick-up trucks with a 2003 pick-up, replaced a 17 year old welding machine.

4. Had Regional Planning help revamp zoning guidelines after 20 years.

5. Signed an agreement with AT&T to compete with Time Warner Cable and bring in revenue.

6. Signed an oil well lease at Phillips Park to bring in revenue.

7. Received a $45,000 grant for a handicap assessable walkway at Chase Park.

8. Restored the appearance of the Historical Township Hall by replacing the 150-year-old cupola with a new one built by RHS students. A new copper top was also added.

9. Helped the Franklin Hills area solve a neighborhood failing well problem.

10. Continued the paving and berming program.

11. Became proactive in setting up catch basin cleanout and repair program.

12. Helped continue bike and hike trails in the township. 

13. Chipping, mowing and leaf pick-up programs continue.

14. Worked with the Twin Lakes neighborhood to help the beautification of roadway triangles.

15. Had 10 new businesses open in the township and had two new apartment complexes start.
