ABOUT
Designed in the likeness of a public building that stood in Hartford, Connecticut, the Franklin Township Hall was built in 1837. It was used as an office for the Franklin Silk Company; after the company failed, the Franklin Township Trustees completed the
Franklin Township Hall in 1840.

Tim Benner is the liaison to the City of Kent Fire Department and State Fire Marshal; investigating fire safety hazard and open complaints and inspecting building structures that may be insecure, unsafe or structurally defective.
DEPARTMENTS AND OFFICIALS
Completed in 1840, Township Hall is the location for all meetings, both public and private. Township Hall serves as public office of the Franklin Township Trustees.
The department is responsible for maintaining Township Parks, Township properties and other duties as assigned by the Franklin Township Trustees.
A township trustee is an elected official in the local government of the U.S. state of Ohio. A township trustee administers a township, which is a political subdivision of a county, and in common with most other state officials serves a term of four years.
Fiscal Officer (or clerk) is responsible for public accounting and record keeping for all matters concerning finance in the township.
