FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES
Kellie Kapusta has enjoyed living in Franklin Township with her husband Jeff and three children for the last eighteen years and is looking forward to many more. She has been a licensed Realtor® with the state of Ohio since 1995 and is a member of the Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Kellie
served two terms as a Director on the Portage County Board of Realtors where she also served two terms as Chair of Professional Development. Kellie is looking forward to serving the needs of Franklin Township and its residents with transparency and a strong ethical awareness
Glenn Russell is a 30+ year Franklin Township resident. He is the Vice President at Scott Molders, Inc., located in the township, and has spent nearly forty years working in manufacturing and management. Glenn served on the Franklin Township Board of Zoning Appeals from June 2008 through December 2021, giving up that position when he was elected to serve as a Trustee. Glenn is also currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Kent Lions Club. Glenn is looking forward to continuing to serve the Franklin Township community as a Trustee, alongside its service departments and maintaining the quality of services our residents have come to expect over the years.
Scott Swan was elected Trustee in 2016 and has been a Franklin Township resident since 2000. A Kent Roosevelt graduate, Scott also earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ohio University and his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University. A long-time college administrator, Scott is currently employed with Hana Microdisplay Technologies, Inc. in Twinsburg and serves on the Portage County Mental Health & Recovery Board. He and his wife Janice have three children. Scott has a strong interest in supporting alcohol & other drug prevention and education initiatives and working collaboratively across the county to ensure the needs of Franklin Township are addressed timely and efficiently.
TRUSTEE MEETINGS
Trustee Meetings are open to the public and scheduled for the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Meetings begin at 7:00 pm and are held at the Township Hall, 218 Gougler Avenue, Kent OH. Check the calendar or contact the Township Hall to verify meeting dates. The first part of each meeting is reserved for residents or others to provide input to the trustees. To be placed on the agenda, please contact the Township Administrator at 330-673-2194 between 1pm to 4pm Monday through Friday at least two days before a scheduled meeting.
